Recorder and Piano Programmes

The virtuosic and adventurous works of the 20th and 21st century are certainly the highlights of our programmes with the piano. We like to juxtapose this with repertoire from the Renaissance to the late Baroque periods to create entertaining and stimulating experiences for our audiences and ourselves.

Recorder and Spinet Programmes

Our spinet programmes place greater emphasis on the earlier repertoire, whilst including some new works for this combination. We normally perform these programmes on our own spinet made by S. Robinson on the basis of a Hitchcock original. We have also had the privilege of performing such a programme on original Stanesby/Bressan recorders and a Hitchcock spinet. The sounds of recorders and a spinet are very well suited to being performed in small venues, sometimes by candlelight, creating an atmospheric and engaging experience.
